BEFORE & AFTER.
1925 Italian Beauty
This beautiful old Italian had great bones, but was neglected over the years both inside and out. The home was rich with original details like blue marble flooring, hand-detailed plaster work and wooden casement windows. Even with the obvious charm, the 1960's kitchen, shag carpet, leaking roof and humidity from lack of central air had wreaked havoc. The landscaping was overgrown and was in such disarray, that little could be salvaged.
The goal of the renovation was to touch the entire home while preserving any original details and install new plumbing, wiring and HVAC in the main home and guest quarters. In addition, an extra 2,000 square feet of interior living space (kitchen, master suite and office), 2,000 square foot covered patio, 3-car garage and pool were to be added and seamlessly blended into the home.
They don't get more beautiful than this!
1924 MEDITERRANEAN CLASSIC
After being on the market for over 2 years, it was obvious that only a select few would be able to see past the rotting exterior to bring this classic back to life. The property was broken into three different living quarters and had been a boarding house that was heavily neglected. While the bones of the home were fantastic, the exterior and interior were heavily damaged from moisture and neglect and little of the original details could be saved.
The challenge was to update the home to modern standards including all new systems and blend new details like hardwood floors and windows into the classic architecture. In addition, the two residences of the main home were to be brought back to one living space while relocating the kitchen and two bathrooms. The outdoor space was to be transformed with the addition of a 1400 square foot covered lanai, patio and new pool.
It turned out to be a showstopper!
1920 SPANISH CHARMER
This dainty little charmer was in need of a complete overhaul. The property had been vacant for several years and prior had encountered a few shoddy renovations that removed it's appeal. It was in need of all new systems, windows, flooring, kitchen and bath...a complete gut job.
The project also required the removal of an interior wall to create a better floor plan, adding a bathroom where none existed, and outdoor patio and moving the laundry from the garage to inside the home. Every surface and system was touched in this home to create a fresh, up to date stunner...all while bringing back to it's 1920 charm.
